D Visa is issued to an alien who comes to reside permanently in China.
How to apply
- You must come to the visa office of the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy to submit the application; or
- If you cannot come personally, you may entrust someone else or a travel/visa agent to come to the visa office of the Consular Section of the Chinese Embassy for application process.
- Mail applications are not acceptable.
- No appointment is required.
Documents to be included with application:
- Your valid & actual passport. The passport must have at least six (6) months validity left before expiration and at least one blank page left in it.
- One completed visa application form with one additional passport photo .
- Residence Approval Certificate issued by the Chinese public security bureau. The applicant should entrust his or her relatives within China to apply for this certificate with the said authority.
4. A Physical Examination Certificate for Foreign Citizen (Visa Application Form (Q2).)
- If the visa application form is not filled out completely, correctly and legibly, this can cause a delay in processing or the refusal of the requested visa.
Visa fee and processing time
1. 26000 Ft for American and 8000 Ft for citizens of Hungary and other countries.
2. The regular processing time is 4 working days. For express service, additional fees of 7000Ft for 1 working day processing (applications presented before 10:30am may be picked up between 11:00-11:45am on the same day), and 4500Ft for 2-3 working days processing will be charged.
